IRGC hits another invading US warplane, an F-18, in Iran’s airspace

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has announced that it successfully targeted another invading US warplane in Iranian airspace.

The F-18 fighter jet is the fourth US warplane Iran has successfully targeted since February 28, when the US and the Israeli regime launched their war of aggression against Iran.

The IRGC Public Relations Department reported the successful operation by air defense units on Wednesday.

In a separate statement earlier on Wednesday, the IRGC said it had intercepted and shot down an invading drone in the country’s airspace. The hostile aircraft, it added, was targeted and destroyed while hovering over southern Iran.

The number of hostile drones hunted down by Iran’s air defenses so far stands at nearly 140.

Iranian armed forces have responded to the aggression by launching barrages of precision-guided missiles and advanced drones, pounding US and Israeli assets in the region in over 80 waves of retaliatory strikes.
